I will be a participant at the 9th annual Free Throws for Kids event where our team will shoot 500 free throws on April 6th at Lakota West High School. The event raises money for patients and their families at Cincinnati Children's Hospital and Ronald McDonald House.

Specifically, Free Throws for Kids does three very special and unique things:

(1) Surprise 1,000 patients and their families throughout the year at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital with care packages valued at $125. The packages have comfort items like a fleece blanket and journal, plus gift cards for fuel, food, and the hospital cafeteria.

(2) Donate $3,000 each month to the Cincinnati Ronald McDonald House for salad bar food. Each weekday, over 177 families now have a healthier eating option because of the FTFK salad bar & ongoing food donation.

(3) Grant $10,000 each year to Cincinnati's Liberty branch social services department to help kids and families with real-time, immediate assistance.

These simple things in life, we may take for granted, become a big challenge when a child is hospitalized, and families need help. Thru Free Throws for Kids, we are making a very positive impact.
